Adds a -2 suffix so this variant is uniquely identifiable. The first variant in the duplicate group keeps the original SKU.

The app is read-only against Shopify. Copy the value, open the deep link, paste it in Admin, then mark applied.

Recommended fix

Decide which variant should keep the SKU and re-assign or clear the others. Run an inventory recount afterwards.
